Keynote Speaker: Mr. Lawrence Scanlan
Writer and journalist Lawrence Scanlan, author of "A Year of Living Generously: Dispatches From the Front Lines of Philanthropy" (Douglas & McIntyre, published Spring 2010) will deliver an inspiring key note address which challenges us to rethink the nature of personal philanthropy and giving back to society.
Mr. Scanlan spent one year immersed in the world of volunteers and not-for-profit organizations. His experiences have formed the basis for this book, which offers both a celebration and a critique of volunteering and philanthropy in the modern world.

National Pro Bono Conference Banquet and Awards Ceremony
The National Pro Bono Conference Banquet and Awards Ceremony, sponsored by Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, will take place in the elegant Crystal Ballroom at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel beginning at 5:30 pm with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner, key note address and presentation of the 2010 Canadian Pro Bono Awards.
All registered conference delegates are invited to attend the National Pro Bono Conference Banquet and Awards Ceremony, which is included in each registration fee. As this event is open to the public, additional tickets can be purchased in advance at $125.00 each.

Keynote Speaker: Mr. Stephen Lewis
This evening's program features key note speaker Mr. Stephen Lewis. Mr. Lewis is Chair of the Board of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, which is dedicated to turning the tide of HIV/AIDS in Africa. As well, Mr. Lewis is Co-Director of AIDS-Free World in the United States and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Clinton Health Access Initiative and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative.
