The Honourable Louise Arbour, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and former justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, delivered the keynote speech at the Conference Dinner & 2008 Canadian Pro Bono Awards Ceremony.
On the evening of September 18, 2008, Pro Bono Law Alberta, Pro Bono Law of BC and Pro Bono Law Ontario hosted a dinner and awards event at the Stanley Park Pavilion in Vancouver to bring members of the legal community together and to honour a lawyer, a law firm, and a community service organization for their distinguished service in the provision of pro bono legal services to the poor and disadvantaged.
